Dramatic formations of blooms beautifully set the tone for Lena & Will’s modern, elegantly refined wedding in the Art Gallery of Ontario. Embodying a contemporary design and filled with unique spaces, the gallery is truly an outstanding choice for celebrating the special day of your life. Featuring a stunning blend of rust tones with neutral colour palettes, the venue served as the perfect canvas for Lena & Will to realize their vision, and I was honoured to be part of it as their wedding coordinator.
The Art Gallery of Ontario is one of my favourite places as it offers various event spaces for couples to celebrate their special day. On the wedding day, Lena got ready with her bridesmaids in a private suite and celebrated her new beginnings with a glass of champagne. The day unfolded wonderfully, with the girls having fun before the big moment.
Lena looked breathtaking in a lovely white gown by Jenny Yoo, while the groom, Will, looked handsome and dapper in a sharp black suit. After getting ready followed one of the most special moments – their first look in the Henry Moore Gallery.
Following the first look, the couple headed for their art gallery wedding ceremony. The ceremony was held on the main floor in the Walker Court, resting at the centre of the Gallery under the iconic Frank Gehry-designed staircase showcasing timeless architecture. As they proceeded, the anticipation was high as everyone waited for the bride to enter. All nerves were calmed as Lena walked the aisle with her parents, and she and Will exchanged reassuring glances. Playing with the art of minimalistic, light shades of roses beautifully adorned the arch and pathway leading up to the aisle. As Lena & Wil exchanged vows, everyone erupted in happiness, tears, and joy.
Post-ceremony, guests gathered for the reception at Galleria Italia and were amazed by the breathtaking backdrop and incomparable atmosphere on the second floor. Unrivaled architecture and stunning exhibitions make this a unique event space. Lena & Will took some time off and headed to the Art Gallery of Ontario for their first portraits as husband and wife. The highlight, though, was Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity mirrored room. That said, if you wish to have versatility for your wedding portraiture, I would definitely recommend this venue.
With the dinner concluded, it was time for Lena & Will to celebrate and dance the night away with family and friends. I ensured everything was seamless for the festivities, as there’s nothing like a good dance party to get things going, and Lena & Will knew how to have fun! As their story unfolded, the cake was cut, speeches were made, and the dancing continued into the evening – making for an unforgettable event!
Lena and Will’s wedding at the Art Gallery of Ontario was a true embodiment of modern elegance, class, happiness, and love! Thank you for entrusting me to translate your dreams into reality!
